Toby Hutchison

//Lead Vocals, Acoustic guitar, Drums, and Keys.

Growing up in Weatherford Texas I was heavily influenced by my father who is a worship pastor. I started playing drums in school, which lead to playing drums for the church worship band.  As I continued to grow musically, I began to sing and play guitar, as well as, write original songs. I'm very thankful to God for the ability he's given me to do what I love. My influences include Rich Mullin's, 21 Pilots, Phillip Phillips, and John Mayer. Eliza is my beautiful wife, whom I am blessed to have singing beside me.

//Vocals

Originally from Gulf Shores, Alabama.  Moved to Weatherford Texas at the age of 19.  Growing up, my father was always singing and playing music with local singer-songwriters.  I played saxophone in school and sang, off and on, with my dad.  My biggest influences are Fleetwood Mac, Samantha Fish, Dave Mathews Band, and my wonderful husband Toby Hutchison.

Originally from Abilene Texas. Now living in Fort Worth (Love FunkyTown). Over the years, I have played in many different cover, original, and Worship bands at church.   My love for music started when MTV was young and actually played music videos.  I would literally watch MTV everyday as much as possible.  Early on inspired by RUSH, Van Halen, Ozzy, and Metallica.  As time has passed my love for music has greatly expanded.  Rock, Country, Americana, Christian, and Jazz are included on my playlist today.  My biggest influences today come from the Texas Music Scene.  Reckless Kelly, Whiskey Myers, William Clark Green, and Josh Abbott Band just to name a few.  What I love about Texas Music is the loyalty of the Texas music fans.  They always inspire me, the fans know every lyric to every Texas artist's song. They have influenced me to write about what I know.  True stories about growing up and living Texas.

The Band

SandalWood Band was formed by Lance and Toby.  We met playing worship music at church in Weatherford, Texas in 2017.  It didn't take long for us to realize our mutual love of creating and writing our own songs.  The music has a Americana, Country, and Rock feel.  With influences from Texas Red Dirt country, Rock, and Contemporary Christian.  Our lyrics are stories that represent pieces of our lives.  The listener will most likely relate as Toby brings the stories to life with his extensive vocal range.  SandalWood Band's debut album will be released early 2022.
